OEM Ground Support RFQ Checklist
A complete RFQ reduces clarification rounds and helps the factory confirm manufacturability, inspection scope, packing and lead time before quotation.
1. Identify the product
- Product name and intended purchasing category
- Drawing number, revision and measurement units
- Reference standard and edition, if applicable
- Approved sample or previous specification, if relevant
2. Define the manufactured specification
- Dimensions and tolerances
- Material grade and mechanical performance fields
- Thread, hole, slot, weld or profile requirements
- Surface condition, coating or corrosion protection
3. Define verification
- Required material documents
- Dimensional report or inspection checklist
- Mechanical, coating or weld test requirements
- Third-party inspection or witness points
4. Define commercial supply
- Quantity and expected repeat volume
- Sample or trial-batch requirement
- Neutral packing, buyer label or private label
- Destination port, delivery sequence and required shipping marks
