W Bearing Plate Specification
A W bearing plate should be quoted against a buyer-approved drawing or sample. Overall size alone does not define the profile, bolt interface, load response or packing requirement.
Plate geometry
- Overall plate width and length
- Plate thickness and dimensional tolerances
- W-profile height, rib spacing, bend radii and bearing face
- Hole, slot, neck or pressed-seat dimensions and position
Bolt and seat matching
- Matched rock bolt, cable bolt or friction bolt system
- Bolt or thread diameter and nut or washer seating
- Required contact area and installation orientation
- Project-approved plate and bolt interface drawing
Material and performance
- Steel grade and required mechanical properties
- Required plate load and deflection or flattening criteria
- Black, galvanized or project-specified finish
- Coating mass or thickness and corrosion-protection requirement
Inspection and packing
- Approved drawing revision or confirmed reference sample
- Dimensional, profile and visual inspection fields
- Load or deflection test method and sampling level, if required
- Part marking, bundle quantity, pallet and shipping-label requirements
